Sarah Black is a photographer and artist living in North East Victoria, Australia.

She works in a number of different mediums as well as photography; ceramics, coloured chalks on paper, line drawing. Sarah also writes, including poetry.

Although photography has been a life long passion, ceramics was the first medium she used as an exhibiting artist, having graduated with a B.A. in Ceramic Design form Monash University, Melbourne in the mid 1990's.

The themes in all of her works are extensive, but the goal is the same: To capture the esscence of the subject, be it natural or manmade.

Sarah's work is about life and all that it entails. Like her work, Sarah has a very diverse range of interests, is passionate about the natural world, adventure and expressing the way she sees and understands the world around her. To her art is a language, a way of exploring, understanding and expressing life.
